1. Does BM-4000 need to connect to Internet, why?

Yes, BM-4000 needs to connect internet in order to use Best Media App to search songs, and to download Cloud songs into BM-4000.

2. What connection options does BM-4000 have?

  • There are 3 ways to connect to internet:
    1. WIFI connection – connects to your home WIFI network
    2. Built-in WIFI – uses BM-4000’s built-in WIFI to connect (not real internet)
    3. LAN connection – uses Internet cable to connect to internet

3. Which internet connection option should I use?

  • WIFI connection is recommended because it is wireless and easier to connect. Noted that BM-4000 (as many other device) only reads 2.5Ghz WIFI network.
  • Build-in WIFI is suggested when there is no WIFI network in the area, such as hosting a show or outdoor event. This option allows Best Media App to connect with BM-4000, so you can search and play songs with the app. However, BM-4000 cannot download Cloud songs because this is not the real WIFI.
  • LAN Connection is suggested when your router is placed close to BM-4000, or if your BM-4000 cannot find WIFI network. You will need an internet cable to connect from your router to BM-4000. Because this directly connects to the router, internet signal will be stable and strong.
