1. What is Free Cloud download?

  • – Cloud download is new feature BM-4000 and BM-5000.  It allows you to download songs into BM-5000 as long as you have WIFI connection and your Cloud account is activated.
  • – Each NEW BM-5000 has 1 year unlimited Free Cloud Download. Customers are recommended to register their system within 30 days of purchase, so their Free Cloud service can be activated.  If customer register late, the start day will count from date 31st of purchase date.

2. Which system supports Cloud download? What are the requirements?

  •  BM-4000:    – required: Latest firmware: BM4000.018.T1, Activated BM-4000’s Serial Number, WIFI connection, Best Media App or Touch Monitor.
  •  BM-5000:    – required: Latest firmware: BM5000.1.1.5, Activated BM5000’s Serial Number, WIFI connection, QR code scanner (on any IOS/ Android device) or Touch Monitor.

3. Do I need to update to the latest Firmware?

  • Yes, we recommend you to update to the latest Firmware version for fixing bugs and using new features.
  • BM-5000 required to update to version 1.1.5 for Cloud songs to be loaded and downloaded successfully.
 

4. How do I update firmware?

  • If you live near Los Angeles Area: you can bring your BM-5000 to our office at No Cost and we help you to update. Please contact us for estimating time for this service.
  • If you live at other area: you can update firmware by downloading the files from our website and follow the update instruction.

5. I have more questions about Firmware update, where should I go?

6. Is there limitation of certain songs that I can download?

  • – There is no limitation of amount of downloaded songs, quarters to download.
  • – Song is completed download one by one, but you can choose a list of songs and let it complete by itself.

7. I have activated my Cloud service, but I forgot to use it. Can you extend my Free service?

  • – Sorry, Free Cloud service cannot be extended.  It is up to user to use the service during subscription. We suggest to keep a note of your expiration date, so you don’t waste your Cloud Download subscription.
 

8. I have trouble using Cloud download, what should I do?

  1. My machine was bought before 2/15/2021, when will my Free Cloud Service start and end?
  • For all those who purchased BM-5000 before 2/15/2021:
    • Your Free Cloud service will count from 3/1/21 to 3/31/22.
    • However, we have activated your account on 2/15/2021.
  • This is the list of BM-5000 we have activated. Check if your system is on the list. Please register here.
 

2. My firmware version is before 1.1.5, when will my Free Cloud Service start and end?

  • For all BM-5000 which has firmware before version 1.1.5:
    • Your Free Cloud service will count from 3/1/21 to 3/31/22.
    • However, we have activated your account on 2/15/2021.
  • This is the list of BM-5000 we have activated. Check if your system is on the list. If not, please register here.

3. Why do I have extra 30 days Free Cloud Download?

  • If you purchased BM-5000 during Cloud Server was still updating, we promised to activate Cloud account first and only count the start date when Cloud server has completed its update.
  • On 2/12/2021, Cloud server has completed its update, and we activated BM-5000 that in our record.
  • Because firmware update is required to load and download songs from Cloud. We decided the start date is 3/1/2022. Well, Free Cloud service supposes to end on 3/1/22.
  • However, to show our gratitude, we also decided to extend 30 days to these customers. Therefore Free Cloud Service will expired on 3/31/22. It also gives extra time for users who need help with firmware update or who need to bring BM-5000 to our office to update.
 

4. How do I know if my BM-5000 has activated? Is there any notification?

  • S/N Account Activated List – This is all the BM-5000 Serial Number we have activated
    • Your BM-5000 Cloud account is activated:
      • If your BM-5000 serial number is on this list.
      • If you received an email or text message about your Cloud activation
    • What should you do next?

5. Do I need to update firmware?

Yes, BM-5000 needs to update to version 1.1.5 in order to successfully load and download songs from Cloud.

  • You can skip and only update version 1.1.4 and 1.1.5
  • Version 1.1.4 has fixed bugs and add important features
  • Version 1.1.5 allows BM-5000 to read and download songs from Cloud.
 

6. I don’t know how to update, what should I do?

  • If you live near Los Angeles Area:You can bring your BM-5000 to our office and we help you to update. Please contact us for estimating time for this service.
  • If you live at another area: You can update firmware by downloading the files from our website and follow the update instruction.
  • You can always contact us when you encounter any firmware update problem.

7. My machine was bought before 2/15/2021 and my Free Cloud service is activated, but I forgot to use it. Can you extend my service?

  • Sorry, Free Cloud service cannot be extended. We have already extend 30 days (Free service suppose to end from 3/1/22, but we extend to 3/31/22). You should have plenty of time to download from 3/1/21 to 3/31/2022. We also give enough time for user to download and update firmware. So there will be no more extending.
  • It is up to user to use the service during subscription. We suggest to keep a note of your expiration date, so you don’t waste your Cloud Download service.

8. My Cloud service is activated, but I cannot download. What should I do?

  1. Please update to the latest firmware (update 1.1.4 and 1.1.5)
  2. Make sure your BM-5000 connect to internet.
    • Press [System] > PW: 888888 > Network setup > make sure your network said: Connected
    • If not, select Network > select [Connect]
    • See Section A – instruction here: English  –   中文   
  3. Make sure you plug in the WIFI antenna (included) on the back of BM-5000
    • This antenna extends the WIFI range for BM-5000
  4. Use Web App to load and download Cloud songs:  English –   中文
  5. Use Touch Monitor to load and download Cloud songs:  English

9. What if I register late? Will you extend my service?

  • If you register late, your Free Cloud service will start from the date of activation and end on 3/31/2022.
  • Sorry, we have tried our best to notify users about Free Cloud Service. We also offer to help user updating firmware.
  • Free Cloud service cannot be extended. We have already extend 30 days (Free service suppose to end from 3/1/22, but we extend to 3/31/22). You should have plenty of time to download from 3/1/21 to 3/31/2022. We also give enough time for user to download and update firmware. So there will be no more extending.

  1. My machine was bought after 2/15/2021, when will my Free Cloud Service start and end?
  • Any BM-5000 purchased after 2/15/2021 and has firmware version of 1.1.5 or later, you have 1 year Free Cloud Download Service. Please register within 30 days after purchased.
  • If you register later than 30 day, your Free Cloud Service will count starting at the 31st days (from the purchased date)

Example: —- purchase date: 3/15/2021  ———–(Late: start on date 31st: 4/16/2021 – end on 4/16/2022)

  • Activate within 30 days: —– Activate on 3/25/2021
    • Free Cloud service: 3/25/2021 – 3/25/2022 => 12 months free download
  • Activate 3 months late: —– Activate on 6/15/2021
    • Free Cloud service: 6/15/2021 – 4/16/2022 => 10 months free download
 

2. If my firmware version is 1.1.5 or later, when will my Free Cloud Service start and end?

Any BM-5000 purchased after 2/15/2021 and has firmware version of 1.1.5 or later, you have 1 year Free Cloud Download Service. Please register within 30 days after purchased.

4. How do I check my firmware version?

  • Remote control: Press [System] > look at version: BM5000.1.1.X
  • Touch monitor: Home > Tools > Version > check for BM5000.1.1.X
    • **By 02/12/2021, the latest version is BM5000.1.1.5
    • If your firmware is under this version, please update accordingly.

5. How do I register for Free Cloud download?

Use one of these methods below to register:

  1. Fill in on line registration form –> Online Cloud Registration Form
  2. Text your Full name, Serial number or picture of Serial # (like the photo of – System setup), and your receipt to 909-978-7784
  3. Email your Full name, Serial number and receipt to info@bestmediausa.com
 

6. Do I need to provide a copy of receipt? If yes, How?

  • Yes, please provide a copy of your receipt.

7. I register my Free Cloud Service late, when does my Free Cloud Service start and end?

  • If you register later than 30 days (ex: 2-3 month late), your Free Cloud service will count starting at the date 31st from the purchased date.
  • User will be responsible to register and use Free Cloud service.

Example: —- purchase date: 3/15/2021  ———–(Late: start on date 31st: 4/16/2021 – end on 4/16/2022)

  • Activate within 30 days: —–Activate on 3/25/2021
    • Free Cloud service: 3/25/2021 – 3/25/2022 => 12 months free download
  • Activate 3 months late: —–Activate on 6/15/2021
    • Free Cloud service: 6/15/2021 – 4/16/2022 => 10 months free download
 

8. I register my Free Cloud Service late, can you extend my Cloud service?

  • If you register later than 30 days (ex: 2-3 month late), your Free Cloud service will count starting at the date 31st from the purchased date.
  • User will be responsible to register and use Free Cloud service.
  • Sorry, there is no extending for Free Cloud service. When Free Service expired, we do not accept any request for extending free Cloud service.
