FAQ: Touch Monitor Setup

  1. How do I setup Touch Monitor?
  • Image: connect VGA cable into BM-5000
  • Touch function: connect CAT5 (internet cable) to BM-5000’s Touch Screen Port (not LAN)
  • Power: connect power to power outlet
 

2. Touch Monitor’s special features on BM-5000

BM-5000 Special features:

  • Preview songs and quickly add into My Favorite list
  • Add song into Public list
  • Using Hand writing/ Pinyin / Zhuyin to search songs
  • View Cloud list, download Cloud songs and quickly search Cloud songs.
  • Not interfere TV screen when search songs or change certain settings
  • Quickly connect to Internet

3. Can Touch Monitor hook up wirelessly? Why not?

  • No, touch monitor has to be wired connect to BM-5000. Because Touch monitor needs to read photo data and run Touch screen software, so it has to be wired.
 

4. Why is my Touch Monitor’s screen turn to reddish, greenish?

  • There are several factors:
    • The needles on the VGA cables are sensitive and used to read and display correct colors on the screen. If one of the needle is bended or broken, it may cause the screen to turn reddish or greenish.
    • If the damaged VGA cable is directly from the Touch screen, to repair, you have to bring the Touch screen to our office.
    • If the damaged VGA cable is the 25ft long extension, you can buy another replacement cable from us or online.
    • If none of the VGA cable is damaged, it could be the problem of the display screen. Please contact us for repair service.

5. The touch function on Touch screen doesn’t work, what should I do?

  • Try these below steps:
  1. Make sure the CAT5 (internet cable) is connected to BM-5000’s Touch screen port.
  2. Change Monitor output:
    1. Required: wireless/ wired mouse
    2. Plug wireless/wired mouse to BM-5000’s USB port
    3. Click the mouse, and you will notice arrow on Touch Screen
    4. Press [System] on Remote > PW: 888888 > Maintain
    5. Use the mouse to click on [Other Setting] – holding guitar (pic1)
      • If the screen show: 9600B, select 19200B OR
      • If the screen show: 19200B, select 9600B
    6. Confirm the change
    7. On remote: press [Return] to go back to Public page
    8. Tap on Touch monitor to see if touch function is working
  3. If changing Monitor output doesn’t help, it could be the cable problem
    • Do not use the extension CAT5 cable, use the cable that is from the Touch Monitor to test
      1. If the problem is extension cable, replace a new one
      2. If the problem is CAT5 from Touch monitor, contact us for repair service
 

6. What is 19200 and 9600?

  • Best Media has 2 different display output for Touch Monitor: 19200 and 9600. Our BM-3000, BM-4000, and BM-5000 all support these 2 formats.

7. Why does my Touch Monitor is not sensitive when I tap?

  • If your Touch Monitor is not sensitive, simply recalibrate it:
    1. Remote: press [System] > PW: 888888> choose [Maintain] > tap [Calibration] (cat lady) on Touch Monitor (pic1)
    2. Tap on the 4 + signs on 4 corner to recalibrate the touch sensitivity.
    3. After you are done, press [Return] to exit to public screen
    4. Tap on Touch monitor again to check if it is sensitive when tapping.

8. Tapping location on Touch Monitor is not accurate, how to fix that?

Please reset display setting to Auto:

  • On the back of Touch Monitor: Press [MENU] > press [AUTO]
    • Monitor will show: Display is adjusting
    • After adjusting, your tapping location should be accurate now.
  • If it is still not accurate: repeat Press [MENU] > press [AUTO] several times.
